Cyclists Ride from London to Hong Kong

Currently in Hungary, the pair have been on the road for five weeks through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, and Slovakia.

"Europe is very much as we anticipated," said Julia Mason. "The main challenge at the start was our physical fitness. It took a while to get used to riding a 50 to 60kg bike!"

The weather has not always been kind; they were confronted with flooding rain during their third week. "This was when we reached our first mental/emotional hurdle and with the added rain, flooded tent, dampness and slow cycling we found it quite tough. But once we reached the Danube, our pace picked up and the sun has been shining!"

As they prepare to enter Eastern Europe, their spirits are high. They hope to arrive in Hong Kong at Christmas after an 8 month, 16,000 km journey across Europe and Asia.
